Grudziądz
The historic, well-preserved granaries on the Vistula river are an impressive landmark. Grudziądz is very proud and steeped in tradition – a city on a river with a chequered history. The first mention of Grudziądz dates back to the time of the Goths in 166. At that time it was called Creutungi. It received its town charter in 1291.
Grudziądz has been Gütersloh’s twin town since 1989 – and has been twinned with Falun since 1991. Grudziądz is around 1300 kilometres away from both cities.
