What is it all about?
Connecting Europe: Art and artist exchange between the C-Cities.
What has been developed?
Two projects, one for professional artists and one for amateurs, both resulting in exhibitions.
Project 1: An art residency for professional artists, which ensures quality artistic exchange between the cities. A travelling exhibition with the work created during the residency, will then tour the C-Cities.
Project 2: The amateur project allows all C-city residents who wish, to create art on the theme “Connecting Europe”. All entries will be shown on a digital platform, with a small selection of works from each city becoming a travelling exhibition.
Here’s what happens next:
A committee is in place, working on the planning and execution of the projects.
An open call for the amateur project is planned for the beginning of 2024. The first exhibition will be in Falun during the autumn of 2024, and the rest will follow.
A further joint exhibition is planned for the city anniversary in Gütersloh 2025.
